Vegetable Oils and Butters

These 100% pure, all natural vegetable oils and butters are perfect for blending with pure essential oils for massage and other therapeutic purposes. Vegetable oils are the fixed, non-volatile oils present in various nuts, seeds and legumes. Cold pressed virgin oils are expressed from these products and, being unrefined are of the highest quality. Vegetable oils are often referred to as ‘base oils’ or ‘carrier oils’ in Aromatherapy where they are used to dilute essential oils. Some of the most common carrier oils are Almond Oil, Grapeseed Oil and Jojoba Oil. For maximum shelf life, we recommend that carrier oils be stored in a cool, dark place, in tightly closed containers. Vegetable butters are a more solid product gathered from the cold pressed extraction of seeds and nuts of certain plants.
