• German chamomile blue hydrosol is the aromatic, water-based product captured during the steam distillation of German chamomile (Matricaria recutita) flowers. Also known as blue chamomile floral water, it contains water-soluble plant compounds and trace amounts of essential oils, offering a mild, herbal-sweet scent. Unlike the dark blue essential oil, the hydrosol is typically clear or very pale.

• • Skin Application: True hydrosols are acidic (pH 3.5–6.5) and mild enough to apply directly to the skin without dilution, making them popular for sensitive skin, children, and elders. 

• • Contamination Risks: Because they are water-based, hydrosols can grow bacteria or mold. Pure Hydrosols  typically have a short shelf life (6 to 12 months) and benefit from cool, dark storage or refrigeration.
