The type of person who might benefit from Roman Chamomile oil is “…someone who feels grumpy, discontented or impatient, chamomile is a good remedy, it is beneficial for people who feel short tempered, self-involved, overly sensitive or rarely satisfied.” (Fisher-Rizzi S. Complete aromatherapy handbook. Sterling Publishing Company, USA, 1990)
Roman Chamomile is a pleasant-smelling perennial with feathery fern-like leaves and branched stems with daisy liked flowers. The oil is steam distilled from the flowering tops of the plant. Roman Chamomile Essential Oil is a pale-yellow colored liquid. A. nobilis has a sweet herbaceous, somewhat fruity-warm and tea leaf like scent.
For those of you who would like to enjoy the exquisite aroma and wonderful properties of AUROMA Roman Chamomile Essential Oil at a more affordable price, you can find it right here on-line at The Aromatherapy Place as a 5% dilution in Jojoba. The high cost of this essential oil is largely due to the substantial volume of natural product required in the distillation process.
The Aromatherapy Place offers a variety of AUROMA Chamomile Essential Oils to suit your preference. Over time, treat yourself to a special sensual experience by trying and comparing the qualities of each. There are slight variations in odor, color, and the levels of constituents within each oil. However, the oils are similar and can be used in place of one another.
FACT: Historically, the herb and nursery trades have known two types of Chamomile: the German type, M. recutita, and the English (Roman) type, A. nobilis. The German and Roman Chamomiles are very distinguishable, and the effects of one can in no way be associated with the other.
