Roman chamomile hydrosol is a fragrant, aromatic water produced during the steam distillation of Roman chamomile (Anthemis nobilis or Chamaemelum nobile) flowers. Also known as floral water or herbal distillate, it contains water-soluble plant compounds and tiny, microscopic droplets of essential oil. Because it is much milder than pure essential oil, it can be applied directly to the skin without dilution.
