Citrus aurantium var. bergamia is an upright tree up to 39 ft with a single trunk and numerous branches. Historically speaking, the tree has grown almost exclusively in a coastal strip in the southern part of Calabria, Italy. Bergamot Essential Oil is produced by cold expression from the peel of the ripe fruit. The oil is a green or olive-green, mobile liquid of an extremely rich & sweet-fruity top note, followed by an oily-herbaceous and somewhat balsamic body. Although Bergamot has a tart aroma, there are also sweet and relaxing elements, making it a popular addition to perfumes.
Refreshing and uplifting it may assist in relieving depression, nervous tension, stress and anxiety, and insomnia. Bergamot has attracted attention for its skin-cleansing properties, and its elegant scent makes it a popular addition to luxury shampoos, creams & cleansers.
Bergamot Non-Phototoxic Essential Oil is a non photo-toxic version of Bergamot Essential Oil. It is also furo/furano-coumarin-free (FCF).
The Aromatherapy Place offers a wide variety of AUROMA Bergamot Essential Oils to suit your preference. Over time, treat yourself to a special sensual experience by trying and comparing the qualities of each. There are slight variations in odor, color, and the levels of constituents within each oil. However, the oils are similar and can be used in place of one another.
NOTE: Bergamot imparts a pleasant flavor to Earl Grey tea and is considered one of the most popular essential oils for use in perfumery.

The Aromatherapy Place does not recommend ingesting essential oils unless a specific dosage instruction is given to a consumer by a qualified medical practitioner.
Do not apply directly to skin. May case skin irritation in some individuals. Always dilute with a carrier oil. A skin test is recommended prior to use on the skin.

Please check with a professional for safe essential oils to use with children or the elderly. Do not use essential oils on a child younger than two years without professional advice
We recommended that Essential Oils or 100% pure and natural Blends be stored in amber or cobalt blue glass containers to maintain freshness and attain maximum shelf life. Keep away from excessive heat and light. A bathroom, bedroom or kitchen cabinet should be a good storage location.
