Organic lavender hydrosol—also commonly called lavender herbal distillate—is the aromatic, water-based solution produced during the steam distillation of organically grown lavender flowers (Lavandula angustifolia).
Unlike concentrated essential oil, a hydrosol is much milder because it contains the water-soluble compounds and trace microscopic drops of the plant’s essential oil.
